Stay Ahead with Precision: Harvest Prep and Future Planning

Jun 21, 2024

By Kendra Oliphant, Ag Tech Specialist

In Precision Ag, we're all about forward thinking and proactive planning. With harvest fast approaching, it’s time to start considering your strategies for the upcoming seasons—what crops to plant where, nutrient needs, and the programs to enroll in.

Field Mapping with Precision Ag
If you’re not yet part of the Precision Ag program at GCC, we’d love to assist you in mapping your fields! For those already in our grower group, it's crucial to get your soil sample requests in as soon as possible after harvest. Remember, soil sampling operates on a first-come, first-served basis, so prompt requests ensure your fields get the attention they need.

Planning for Carbon Credits
Looking further ahead, consider your carbon credits. GCC has partnered with TruTerra, a leader in agricultural sustainability, to help you navigate the carbon credit market. We have a few growers enrolled this year, and we encourage you to watch for next year's enrollment start date. Last year, enrollment began in December, which will arrive sooner than you think.

If you have any questions about these programs, please reach out to your designated salesperson or the Precision Ag team. Happy June!
