GCC GRAIN

GCC GRAIN

Since all farms differ in their approach to marketing, we believe you should have options when it comes to handling your grain.  At the Garden City Co-op, we take an individualized approach in providing multiple marketing and contracting options and have a knowledgeable team of experts here to help you find the best fit for you, your operation and your risk tolerance.

With 21 grain elevators covering an area of approximately 200 miles, a total federally licensed storage capacity of over 37 million bushels and ranking in the top 100 major grain facilities in North America (Sosland “Grain & Milling Annual Report”), the Garden City Co-op’s aim is to provide speed and efficiency as well as a stable and dependable marketplace for our farmer members.

The Garden City Co-op handles Hard Red Wheat, Hard White Wheat, Milo, Corn, Soybeans and Sunflowers. Check with your local elevator for the receiving availability of a crop.

RIVER VALLEY TERMINAL

Completed in 2024, this grain project for GCC has had many iterations and challenges to be able to come to fruition.  The goal has always remained the same, though, to cooperatively create more value for GCC farmer members.

River Valley Terminal grain facility sits across the road and just southeast of the Tyson plant - just west of Holcomb, Kansas.  We have named this facility River Valley in homage to the Herb Clutter farm name as this facility was planned to go on the old River Valley Farms ground.  In the end we moved the facility across the railroad tracks just northwest for better highway access and to reduce traffic through Holcomb.
